For those who want to be totally immersed, these videos use the books in Takawiniwini to provide an immersion environment.

This is an incredibly powerful way to gain vocabulary and to reinforce what you’re learning in Ako.

As a guideline, if you have completed up to Wānanga 8, you will be at the right level to start with these videos.

The videos include a lot of material from the wānanga, and increase in fluency as they go to make sure you are always being challenged, and always growing.

REMEMBER: For immersion to work, you don’t have to understand everything. You’re putting your subconscious to work.

This will also help build a bridge to the Takawiniwini resource, in the hope that whānau will use the Takawiniwini books with tamariki and mokopuna - the best way to ensure our dialect survives.
